When first starting our software, as with most, you will encounter a welcome screen that inquires of the user whether they want to go into the game and profile settings, or just start playing the game.  The color scheme is still not finalized at this point.  As you'll see below in the first two images we have a background that resembles some old text or manuscript, which is supposed to act as a reminder to the somewhat adventurous nature of delving into the past.  The color selections throughout are not finalized at this point.

For the user selection there are only a few basic pieces of information needed, these being a username, password, gender to specify what type of icons you can choose from, and a birth date to act as a security question if you forget your password.

Before starting your adventure you must first select a timeline. The timelines will be broken up into two different selections, one specified by time period and the other specified by an historical event. 

At the end of each section a series of questions will be asked relating to the period the player just travelled through.  Using the Kinect the player will use their hand to hover over the multiple choice answer that they wish to select and hold it there for a predetermined time in order to finalize it.

Once all the questions have been answered the player will be presented with a screen that displays what amount they were correct.  The player will then be given a variety of options, among which are things like exploring the next section, viewing player stats, or returning to the menu.
