My name is Jennifer E. Novotny, and I am a writer. Often when looking for or at my work, that is not the name that will appear. Despite this name being bestowed upon me by the eternal wisdom (read: whim) of my mother upon my birth, I prefer to be recognized for my work as "Jen Novotny" or "inizhay." The latter has been used more on my high school pieces than my more current work. What does it mean? I honestly don't remember, but I'm sure there was some significance in the beginning. I think I was 12 at the time.
I am a writer. I am an actress. I am a Journalism major, Theatre Arts minor, at Stony Brook University. I am an Okie (for the uninitiated, or those wishing to be politically correct, I am an Oklahoman) and I am proud of that. Still, I have no intention of ever living there again; hence I have relocated to Long Island, NY in hopes of escaping forever the Black Hole that is Chickasha, OK.
Most importantly: I am happy with my life, and I am happy with who I am.
