ePortfolio Growth Across the University and the Country

By: Teggin Summers and Marc Zaldivar,
Learning Technologies Update, Spring 2010

The number of ePortfolio projects have been increasing
across the university. In the past three years, more than
thirty groups on campus have begun working with the
ePortfolio Initiatives office to utilize ePortfolio tools, and students
have created over 1,700 ePortfolio presentations in our sites.
There are more than 400 people in the eP@VT site in Scholar,
the portfolio site that is open to all students and faculty, and
that number is growing significantly each semester. Moreover,
there are now ePortfolio projects being developed in every
college within the university, including three new projects under
development for the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of
Veterinary Medicine.
