I vow to continue to learn, at times be the teacher, but always be a student paving my own future. I will continue to be an independent and strong-willed woman who works hard to set an admirable example for others. I will never give up on my dreams, or myself, even if things get really hard. I will work everyday to be a better leader that inspires others and embodies all the values that my family has instilled in me. Every day will be beautiful. No matter what, life will be filled with happiness and laughter and unconditional love.
My heart will act as my compass and passion my fuel
to become everything I have wanted to be and more.

My mission statement has not changed but the reason for it has. Reflecting back, I wrote this two years ago and I was in a different place in my life. Since then, I have had successes, and moments of weakness, doubt, and failure. Through it all though I have tried to live up to every sentence of this statement. I made a mandate to myself to be the best person I can be and truly enjoy life. It is easy to lose focus of your true goals when life is clouded by hardships. For me, the competition at school and the rigourous cirriculum sometimes make me lose sight of the big picture - that I have a passion and a dream and I have the tools to achieve it. My mission statement has not changed, but I know I have and it's because I have been adapting and making necessary changes in my life to live up to this standard.
