Writing Portfolio for WRT 302: Critical Writing Seminar
Fall of 2011

Student: Aman Mundra

Instructor: Dr. Cathleen Rowley

Course Description (as per syllabus)

Nature writing can be broadly defined as writing about nature in non-fiction prose.  In this course, we will examine the different forms it can take, whether it may be observations of nature, philosophical inquiries on the relations of humans and nature, or persuasive pieces on environmental issues. We will read examples of American nature writing from the past to the present from a variety of writers in order to explore the choices different writers make in their approaches to nature, and to give you ideas for your own writing.  Writing assignments will include journal assignments, short writings, short essays, and a longer final project.
