Once upon a time, I wanted to be a nurse. I was on the Pre-Nursing track with a health sciences major. But during the first semester of my Sophomore year, I decided that I wanted to follow my dream. 

My parents encouraged me to become a nurse, but I have always wanted to become a social worker. I will be applying to the School of Social Welfare this year for admittance in Fall 2015 (hopefully!) I've always wanted to help people and though nurses definitely make a difference in a patient's life, that is not necessarily the kind of change that I want to make in the world. 

Growing up in my household gave me a different perspective with life. I have had visits with social workers and I highly respect what they can do in terms of making a difference in a young life. Hopefully I can organize my own charity and spread some hope to those who need it!

I'm taking it day by day as of right now but I am working towards my dream.
