The theme for this HON course is Colonial and Postcolonial Encounters: East Africa and Italy. The main areas of interest for this course are Africana Studies, History, Italian Studies, Postcolonial Studies, and Transnational Studies. By taking a historical and a thematic approach, this course aims to provide students with a detailed understanding of modes of engagement with social and historical themes and questions in post-colonial literatures and the politics of its representation.
