This program takes middle school children and take them away from there parents onto a college campus for two weeks in the summer to learn and grow with/from college students. Middle school is a critical stage of life for students and by pairing the students with college students, they have some good role models to look up to at this stage of their life. The students live in the dorms on campus with counselors who are students at Stony Brook University. The middle schoolers take classes during the day and after the classes mentors pick them up from their last class to take the mentees to dinner. Later on, there are activities planned out for the mentees and mentors to do together.
