Progress Report, Week 14: May 9th

Despite the conclusion of our work as part of BME 441, there is still motivation to continue working on our device as we are still registered for the Engineering World Health (EWH) competition. We have talked to Mr. Nittoli, an audio technician, with regards to our design and have hope for a drastically different design using microphone amplification inspiration. This past week, although swamped with the conclusion of classes, we discussed with Nubia the issue of money to continue our project. We furthermore returned our borrowed Arduino, as well as the remaining Arduino parts that we purchased and used for our pulse force measure. As the semester comes to a close, information regarding the contact information of the machinists, and other tasks that were primarily divided among members, were distributed throughout the group to allow those with time to pursue progress. Despite the ultimate lack of functionality, there are still hopes for a workable device outside of class.
