Course Description
A study of automation and information technologies in both manufacturing and service industries. Considers how technology is changing the work and lives of everyone from production workers to executives. Case studies are used to understand how technology can improve quality and productivity and how incorrect use produces disappointing results.(1: Blackboard)
Final Project
The final project of this course is to select a company from either the notes or the textbook and preform a step-by-step case study on it. There are several sections that must be included in this case study which are listed below.
1. Investigate and Analyze the Company’s History and Growth.
2. Identify Strengths and Weaknesses Within the Company.
3. Gather Information on the External Environment.
4. Analyze Your Findings.
5. Identify Corporate Level Strategy.
6. Identify Business Level Strategy.
7. Analyze Implementations.
8. Make Recommendations.
