Reflection:

Learning from disasters is one of the more valuable classes i have taken at Stony Brook. Even though I am a Political Science major, this class has taught me that almost any project in life comes with risks and posibilities of failures. Although engineering disasters can be some of the most serious of them all, the ethics and importance of successfuly and safely completing a design that I have learned can be used in many types of situations. One of the most important ethics I will take with me into the future is to never cut corners and miscalculate anything. Being patient and taking the time to pay close attention to the detail of every part and funtion of a system will lower the possibility of failure and money lost. Again, this could be interpreted to apply to any type of project which may not have to do with engineering. Ultimately, we should all apreciate what we have learned in this class because it could help potentially save our jobs and, possibly, lives.
