Five Little Somethings About Me

1. I'm terrified of a lot of things, but I love the thrill of facing those fears.

2. I wrote my first spoken word piece, and I loved it. (Look at my digital story in my WRT 302 section)

3. I want my own library when I get older.

4. I wish to travel the world, but would like to grow old in my hometown.

5. I haven't figured out life yet. And I'm realizing that that is okay. :)

If the above blurb did not satisfy your curiosity about me, let me talk about myself a little bit more if you'll let me.

I am a current undergraduate student at Stony Brook University, pursuing the ever expanding black hole that is known as knowledge. You see, my life’s aspiration is to become a scholar. My passion is school. Although I struggle with my work and am not any smarter than your average Joe, I absolutely enjoy the process of learning. I have very few beliefs because I’m a hermit with trust issues. But one thing I truly believe in is that teaching can be delivered in any form or means. That means that learning can and is always occurring in life. It is up to the individual to take advantage of the opportunity. This leads to my second belief in life: without hard work and effort, you can’t get anywhere in life. Everyone has different circumstances and problems, not excluding the most ambitious, successful individuals that dominate the world today. If such accomplishments can be done by putting in some extra time and resolution, then there should be no excuses for failure except one’s lack of effort.

Now that my rant on life is set aside, I just want to say that I’m a simple person. I like food. I like good company. And I like my peace and quiet. I don’t consider myself an adult yet, and I don’t know if and when I ever will. Life right now is a trial. It stresses me out, but to be honest, that’s the only way I know how to live it.
