Executive Summary
Introduction to Biomedical Engineering 100 has taught me valuable skills have further influenced mydecision in becoming a biomedical engineer. As a 100 class, it is essential in not only introducing themany career branches in which biomedical engineering can span into, but also in indicating the type andamount of work vital for each branch. It is more difficult than the average 100 class, essentially weedingout those who have no desire to commit the time and effort to learning the broad range of topics, andtherefore has taught me the importance of incorporating many different skills and knowledge pointsinto a single topic. More specifically, Biomechanics, the field I intend to continue into, incorporates notonly mathematics, but physics, biology, chemistry, anatomy, ethics, and even computer programming. This course has further toned my knowledge in all of these fields, and has given me a greater respect forthose who have continued in this area of work as well as the amount of work required.
