Exam One:
The first exam for this course covered:
- Inverse, Linear, and Exponential Functions
- Shifting, Scaling, and Stretching Functions
- Instantaneous and Average Velocity
- Limits
Study Strategies and Corresponding Goals:
I was very nervous for this midterm--not only was it my third midterm in the span of seven days but it also coincided with the due date of an essay--so I completed every single practice problem given, reread the chapters, and attended a review held by my professor. I hoped to earn a grade in the low 80% range, but expected a grade in the 70% range.
Reflection:
I was happy to find that not only had I earned an 80%, but that the exam was curved so that my grade was bumped up to an "A". I will maintain the studying strategies I employed for this exam throughout the rest of the course.
The average score for this exam was a 55%.
