Calculus A: MAT 125

From Stony Brook University's Undergraduate Bulletin:

MAT 125 includes "differential calculus, emphasizing conceptual understanding, computations and applications...differentiation of elementary algebraic, trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic functions; graphing; modeling;

and maximization."

Class Description:

I attended lectures three times a week and a weekly recitation course. The final grade can be broken down to: two midterms accounting for forty-five percent, one final exam accounting for forty-percent, and fifteen percent based on the grade earned in recitation through participation and weekly homework.

Goals for MAT 125:

Calculus has always been my weakness. I took the class in high school and barely survived. I plan on setting aside a great deal of time in order to understand each concept and be able to carry over some degree of success to the next, and last, math class I have to take to satisfy Stony Brook's Marine Science degree requirements: MAT 126.
