Writing Workshop: WRT 102

From Stony Brook University's Undergraduate Bulletin:

"Writing for academic purposes is emphasized. Students learn strategies for extended writing assignments at the university. At least three major essays, multiple drafts, and short papers are required."

Class Description:

I attended three classes a week. Generally, two of those classes we re spent writing about and discussing the assigned reading. After the class, we would post our responses to the reading under Blackboard. The third class of the wee k was generally reserved for grammar. We were also assigned with writing three essays; an analytical essay, a research essay, and a short story. 30% of the final grade is composed of the grades received from the three essays, 20% reflects participation, and the final 50% comes from a final portfolio that includes the three (re-edited) essays we wrote, an in-class essay, and a cover.

Goals for WRT 102:

I hope to expand my critical thinking skills and hone my writing skills.
