The video of the lecture by Joseph Tainter was interesting in that it focused on something a little outside of what we talk about in class.  His lecture was more of a failure of the society instead of a specific failure.  Though it seemed repetative at times, I enjoyed the overall concept, especially the discussion on simplifying a society and how that has only been known to happen once.
