I am currently a junior at Stony Brook University where I Major in Business Management with a minor in Leadership Development. I am also a part of the Business Honors Program, and as part of this program, look forward to working alongside a senior faculty member on a research project this coming fall. Additionally, I specialize in both Marketing and Management/Operations.

I had always planned to attend Stony Brook, even from a young age, growing up just a short drive from campus. However, it wasn’t until I final got into Stony Brook and began getting involved that I found the true importance of taking leadership roles in life. Since starting at Stony Brook almost three years ago I have become involved on campus in various ways. When I first came to campus, getting involved was not a concern of mine. However, I did manage to attend weekly meetings of the Commuter Student Association. I credit this small initial involvement with inspiring me to pursue other areas to get involved in on campus.

Since then I have taken on more responsibility on campus. Since I was very interested in the Commuter Student Association I sought to become an E-board member, I now currently serve as the Commuter Student Association: Student Activities Board representative. This position has given me the chance to make a difference on campus in a positive way through my leadership role on the board.  I undertook an internship, serving as a TA for the Leadership development minor classes and also working on the restructuring of the Living Learning Center minors at Stony Brook. This has been such a positive experience for me as it has given me a place to put into effect the leadership skills I have learned as a student in the leadership minor.

My future goal is to be employed in a position in either marketing or supply chain management. Both of these areas are particularly interesting to me. My goal is to achieve an internship for the coming summer that will have the potential to launch a career for me in one of these areas. Overall, I know I have a lot of work still ahead of me, but my desire to be successful pushes me to go above and beyond in everything that I do.
