On March 2nd 2012 Stony Brook hosted the annula ePortfolio Institute and I was proud to be a part of the organizing group. It was a lot of work, but thankfully I had a lot of people around me to guide me and help out with everything. The main aim of the event was to promote and highlight the importance of ePortfolios and suggest ways on how to implement the whole concept. Our keynote speaker was Dr. Helen Chen from Stanford University. Dr. Ellen Murphie from the Center for professional development also gave a speech on the topic. I was one of the featured ePortfolios and simultaneuosly helped out with the organization of the event. It was long and tiring, but definitely a worthwhile experience
