About Me - Five Fun Facts About Me!

1. I am attending Stony Brook University pursuing a degree in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience. I thoroughly enjoy how our brain works and I am looking forward to a great undergraduate experience here at Stony Brook, discovering new things about the brain every day.

2. Now the academics are out of the way: I am very interested in photography. I started taking pictures with my phone, and realized that I really have a lot of fun taking pictures. It started with flowers, and built to landscapes, and has developed into a hobby that I take advantage of when I can.

3. Writing, on the other hand, has been a hobby of mine since I was in kindergarten. I used to write short stories, which developed into longer stories and poems until in 2011, I wrote my first book! I am ever proud of that book, horrible as it was, it encouraged me to continue writing, and I hope to start writing another book very soon!

4. I am and will always be a world traveller. As a kid, my mother used to take my brother and I to a new country every February. I have visited places some people never get to see in their lifetimes, and I am forever grateful for it and have taken so much from those experiences and applied them to my life. Without experiencing those other cultures, I would not be the person I am today.

5. I want to try everything! There is so much I want to do in life! My ambitions exceed me. I may have narrowed my focus to Neuroscience, but I want to try everything once. This applies both personally and academically. I want to give everything a chance. Everything is far more intersting than something!
