Delete Blood Cancer is the American branch of the world's largest bone marrow donor center.  This past year Camp Kesem and Delete Blood Cancer partnered to fight cancer on multiple levels.  College-student leaders across the nation running Camp Kesem chapters were invited to host Bone Marrow Registry Drives in the Fall and Spring semesters.  For every donor registered at the drives, the Camp Kesem chapter would receive a $2 donation from Delete Blood Cancer.  Truly an inspiring effort as nearly 450 Stony Brook University students registered for the bone marrow registry.  By joining the registry the students were joining the fight against blood cancers and helping find life-saving matches for those in need, but also ensuring a $2 donation to Camp Kesem Stony Brook, dedicated to recognizing and supporting children affected by a parent's cancer.  But helping organize two bone marrow registry drives this past year was only one part of the wonderful work we were able to accomplish with Delete Blood Cancer.  Myself and my Co-Director Tobin George were also able to present on the importance and procedure of bone marrow donations during a Health and Wellness Conference at Stony Brook University.
