Undergraduate Biochemistry Society: Roth Regatta 2016

Hello! My name is Jose Torres. An about me section is pretty much the hardest possible thing I can think of when it comes to creating any kind of webpage. To make the process easier for everyone, I will list everything below that I can think of in about a minute's time.

  • I am a senior biochemistry major at Stony Brook University.
  • I have lived in Flushing and Franklin Square in my life time.
  • I like to longboard. A finer replacement for my somewhat failed attempts at skateboarding when I was younger
  • I have been a Resident Assistant for three years back at Mendelssohn Quad and I attribute much of the satisfaction I have received living on campus from the environment I built on my floor.
  • On campus I have been involved as a counselor for Camp Kesem, served as the vice president for Undergraduate Biochemistry Society, and have found myself in various other clubs as my years at Stony Brook progressed.
  • I play the viola and currently am beginning to look into picking up the piano.
  • I love puppies and all kinds of dogs. I left some photos of my dog Pippo that I took back when he was still a puppy in 2013 :). My phone is filled with photos of him and if you continue onto WRT 303, you will see some more of him.
  • I have a firm belief that all things happen for a reason.

Now for photo time: This is Pippo (Peep, Peeps, Mr. Peep):Pippo loves nothing more than waiting for mom to come home and eating just about anything. He does typical dog things such as chasing birds and fast cars, playing fetch, and hiding when he does something he was not supposed to. As you will soon see we can always count on snapping a photo of him while he is sitting on the couch looking out the window.

2012: Pippo at five months. He looks like he is about to cry, but just like me he suffers pretty badly from allergies.

2013: Pippo in his favorite spot barking at birds, walkers, and cars.

Our 2014 Christmas Card: Thinking of Food

2015: Taking his bird/car frustration out on a bone.

2016: Post-haircut, actually on a different spot of the couch!

So thats about it, as you can probably notice, I love to photograph him to document how he gets older. I fully welcome you to continue on in the portfolio and check out some of my writing samples!
