Here are samples of my work from Writing 303:  The Personal Essay, Spring 2012.

In this class I developed a descriptive writing skill. I learned to give my essays a personal touch. The skills learned helped me grow as a writer, and helped get started on my personal statement for graduate school.

My essays focus on the theme of volunteering. Overall, I was able to write about how I evolved as a person through volunteering. Different people, experiences, and memories were transmitted into my essay.
