I learned a lot about myself this semester while taking this class. I learned that there are many traits and characteristics in becoming a good and effective leader. In order to gain the respect and trust of others around you, you have to show them you can be their go to guy. To be the leader on the baseball field that I want to be I have to be more confident in myself. To do so, I have to show my fellow teammates my confidence in my game of baseball and how hard I play the game. I have to be bold and assertive and show them to have no fear in the competition and to never back down from a challenge. I also learned I can take those traits from the field and bring them into the classroom and office. If people can tell that you are confident in what you preach, they will trust you and believe in you.
