Internships are a great way to explore the different types of fields that you are interested in. It is also a great way to learn transferrable skills. My various internships here at Stony Brook University benefitted me in various ways. As you will see, my internships range from technology to academic advising and then to peer education. Although these internships are three separate fields, I learned a lot and used the same set of skills (and more) for each internship. I also learn a lot about the different departments in Stony Brook University.
