From working in Stony Brook University to working in the coporate world, I know that my experiences within the University will contribute to my professional development tremendously. These experiences has shaped my well-being to who I am today. I acquired so many transferable skills that no matter where I worked, whether it be at orientation or at the student help desk, I was able to tackle any issues that came along.

I developed my public speaking skills as well as my time management skills. Both equally useful in the coporate world and extremely hard to master. I developed customer service skills and can serve current students, prospective students and even faculty and staff. My roles required me to think quickly on my feet and solve any issue I can without the client waiting too long. I learned that whatever I learned as a paraprofessional, it will help me in the future.
