VoiceThread is a new service that has been offered to the university in the Summer of 2014. It has been utilized by various courses in various departments such as the Department of Asian American Studies, Department of Korean Studies, etc. Since it was so new, many faculty members had to undergo a small training session to get to know the program and how it can enhance the student's learning environment.

What is unique about VoiceThread is that it is a web-based application that combines both visual and audio elements to presentations or images. This creates a more interactive environment for the students as they can share, watch and comment on fellow colleague's VoiceThread files. Students can share it within their own course section or to the whole university. The image on the right is the Google Site for VoiceThread for Students.

This is the go-to website for all students who attend the workshop. Faculty members would get their own workshop on how to use VoiceThread and how assign VoiceThread assignments on Blackboard however they do not know how students view the assignments. Both the student view and the faculty view are totally different. That is why this workshop was created.

This workshop not only addresses how to use Voicethread (Create, comment and share) but also how to submit VoiceThread assignments on Blackboard.
