Inside the 3rd Generation Ipod Nano :

The 3rd generation IPod released by Apple Inc. was launched during 2007. Its entire display and cover was recreated to give IPod a new look, being shorter, wider and heavier with many more colors. The original creation of the IPod was to replace the music players being more efficient technologically and stylistically. However with the popular reception of the product the IPod became more of a fashion accessory. The launch of the 3rd generation featured a new look with its 2inch display screen in comparison to the relatively longer and bigger screens of the first and second-generation Nanos.  Its height being 2.75 inches with a width of 2.06 inches and depth of .26 inches. Furthermore its demand came from the new cool colors that the Nano were now produced with, that the other generations didn’t have. As the other Nanos before it, the trademark click wheel to navigate through the IPod remained reinforced with a video playing capability. Its built in rechargeable lithium ion battery was also more efficient needing 3hrs charge time that allows the IPod to last as long as 24 hrs. Compared to the next generation after it the 3rd generation is better in terms efficiency   lasting for longer playtime however the 4th generation did better in terms of eco friendly material such as using arsenic free glass. The other ways to improve it is the installing the “genius” feature that is built in to the newer generations which creates playlists based on your song preferences, much like the Pandora used today.  And as stated before the rise of IPods being a fashionable accessory should have yielded more designs on the covers instead of the plain basic ones produced to interest the teenage and young adults market which whom is the vast majority of its consumer.
