V=IR

The general equation used while building the photovore is V=IR. In our photovore we had applied resistors that were all connected in series to one another, therefore this equation had been used, however it was not realized at the time.  The use of machines such as a voltmeter rendered calculations useless. Through the knowledge of how this equation was derived we also knew that the addition of the LEDs which were backlights on our Photovore had to be connected in parallel with the circuit to ensure that the addition of our backlights didn’t tamper with the voltage going through the system. Since the differential voltage in the system is what places an output of energy onto the motors and turns the wheels this point could not be neglected.
