In this assignment we learned about the Hindenburg and different ways to analyze an object. Learning about the Hindenburg was interesting because of the many different way people think it went down. There are still different ways that people think the start of the disaster happened. Whether it be that the material was flammable, the thunderstorm caused the spark, or the static discharge from the air. The thing that also amazed me was how the US did not give any to the Germans for a non-military airship. If the airship was not used for military, why did the US make something to go around the clause like they after the disaster happened? The analyzation of the metal with electron microscope was very interesting to me because of how precise it is. The amount of data able to be gained from it is amazing. Being able to see the crystalline structure, the chemical make-up, and other such information is astonishing.
