This assignment relates to my major because it will help me identify energy needs as well as showing me how after certain disasters, what changes were made to try to prevent later disasters. It also shows that a lot of disasters come from a mentality that it would not happen to you or the engineered object. A good thing to take away is about values and how they can change or mold a design. It is also a good thing to be able to notice these and consider how the values can either cause an increase in the risk or a decrease.
