- It offers the biggest variety of shoe brands around.
- The company entitles its customers to free shipping both ways.
- There is an ample amount of customer touch points on the site.
- Zappos.Com utlizes social media on its webpage as well. Customer reviews are listed beside a picture of the respective product.
- The company uses videoconferencing on it's subsidiary service, Zappos Insights.
WEAKNESSES:
- Although their website is extremely strong, there is no onsite shopping experience. The biggest amount of retail sales happen onsite, although internet sales are growing rapidly.
- In 2012, there was a breach in the website's security. They were using an application that caused a weaknesses in its site, allowing an entity to hack into the system stealing credit card numbers and financial information.
- Since the company is expanding rapidly, acquiring new products may lessen the brand's value with consumers.
- There is no way to compare prices with other companies on the website. Zappos.Com makes a comittment to making the customer happy; extra savings always yields a smile on a customer.
