Uraudio Multi-station

A current account of market conditions:

Several car wireless headphones out in the market (Power Acoustik, Sound Storm, Boss Audio, Accelevision), have been targeted mainly at kids watching videos in the car. Power Acoustik is a company that offers a 2 input, 2 channel mixer for a car entertainment system (games/video/mp3 input). None of these systems are specific to people of all ages who listen to the radio. I didn’t offer an mp3 player built into the Uraudio Multi-station since iPod and iPhone are my competition. According to the New York Times, fewer people are buying iPhones and are instead buying Android phones due to iPhones’ high price. The Times also noted that there are now two Android phone sales to every one iPhone purchase. Samsung Electronics developed Samsung Galaxy products which model the design and applications of the iPhone and iPad in April 2011. The Huffington Post found that in the first weekend of iPhone 4S sales (Oct 17, 2011), over 4 million units were sold. Apple shipped 47.49 million iPhones in 2010, in comparison to Android who sold 23.8 million smartphones/tablets and Motorola who sent out 13.7 million smartphones. Since more brands of mobile phones can now play music, my product may be more at risk. For now, we can see that Apple and Power Acoustik are my biggest competitors.
