If I could analyze the picture to the right as a thinker as well as a musician, I'd say that vibrato is a very special moment and should be used sparingly. One must allow his voice, whether that be an instrument or a vocal to be natural and prone to errors. As a perfectionist myself, I understand that people strive to be perfect all the time. What we should really be searching for is moments. It's always seemed that listeners hear vibrato and think  "perfection!" However, for me, timing is key.
