SWOT Analysis:

Enterprise Rent-A-Car has many more strengths than weaknesses and this is evident in their strong product development, large market share, strong brand identity, excellent customer service, distinct pickup service, and international market development. Being that Enterprise is the leading car-rental service in the U.S, their main weaknesses are that they offer older car models than their competitors and have age restrictions on certain cars.

In addition, Enterprise's division WeCar is only offered in the U.S and the UK. Another Enterprise division, Flex-E-Rex, is only offered in the UK. Opportunities for Enterprise Rent-A-Car include expanding the number of cars available to the public. Not only could they expand the number of cars, but also give customers newer car options.

Enterprise can also promote energy conservation by renting out hybrid/fuel efficient vehicles to their customers. By expanding WeCar from the U.S. and UK to all countries of Enterprise operation, Enterprise's overall image will benefit. Other opportunities include moving cars from office to office as demand changes. Another big opportunity includes selling Enterprise's patented Automated Rental Management System (ARMS) to competitors. Some external threats to Enterprise's business include Hertz car-rental service, which is the most common on-airport location car service. Further competition includes The National Car Rental service, which is more popular than Enterprise in the UK.

Enterprise is in a very strong competitive position and keeps growing in fleet size as well as in workforce. With their great customer service and product development, they will continue to expand. Enterprise should look at their biggest competitor Hertz to see what new cars they offer as to remain competitive and offer their customers the best service and options.
