My name is Mo Lam. I just graduated from Stony Brook University with a B.S. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Statistics. I was a University Scholar of Stony Brook University. I am currently a student coach in the New York City Math Team, former captain (2010') of the NYC math team: Steven Colbert team (aka A team), and NYC Queens team (2009',2010') for New York State Math League, and a 2 times USA Math Olympiad qualifier. There are two other things that I am pretty good at other than math. They are web design (especially online database design and layout design) and archery. People often ask me for real life application of the math research I do, and most of them fail to realize that I am just doing it for the sake of it. My goal is not to find real life application, but to do it because it is cool. I do not mind if there are no real life applications with math, even though I would be nice to find one. I really like archery. I was the secretary of Stony Brook University's Archery club for the 2011-2012 academic year. I have done quite a lot of web design, some examples are:

I think I've fixed all the inequities in my e-portfolio, though I cannot be sure. The first button on my top nav section is a bid more boardered inorder to even the entire thing out, and I added extra padding on the left so the left/right space would look even. The text shading is ok as it doesn't interfere with the IE experience. From now on, any modification I make will be bracketed by a look into IE7. I really never thought these things would be different, but now I know thankx to you:)

Mr. Lam,
I found your page like any other curious minded individual, I Googled it! Someone at my school said it wasn't possible to really customize this thing, so well I had to show em different. Anyhoo... It seems the borders on our pages have changed in some way. It was no change I made, and I suspect none that you made either. It seems that css has changed and that has changed our boarders. Interesting note, in IE the boarders are square, and in firefox 4.0 they're round. It seems with css you have to be very browser specific. With future modifications I shall endeavor to check both browsers.
My email is correct in this msg.

Hello Mo,
Your e-Portfolio is very impressive. Your math and computer skills are extraordinary and I appreciate your talent for taking Calculus 4 during your high school. I am majoring in electrical engineering and I still remember how difficult Calc 4 was when I took it.
However, I was reading through your paragraphs and I noticed that you are using phrases like "it is cool" and "I hate java". One of the important things we need to keep in mind while creating e-Portfolio is that it should be professional and language plays an important role in this aspect.
You have a great e-Portfolio and it can be even better. So I would like to suggest you to change your style of writing. For example you can say "I find Java difficult to understand and write" instead of "I hate Java" and so on.
Moreover, now you are one of the featured model e-Portfolios so you should be on top of this game.
Contact me if you need any help or if you have any questions.
Good luck with your finals
