Hi, my name is Pamela Obando. Welcome to my e-portfolio. This is my course portfolio for ESG 201. I am a junior and just recently transferred to SBU. I am a Biology major.  Unfortunately, I have little to no background in the field of engineering, but I hope to learn ways to avoid disasters and learn from human and technological mistakes. I believe that I can apply what I am going to learn this semester in the field of Biology because knowledge of design/human error is a way to avoid future mistakes in any field. It is crucial to learn not only from the mistakes made in the past but how the current way of thinking has been shaped by these mistakes. By having more knowledge society can progress towards a richer and more successful way of life.
