 Community Service

I spend most of my free time doing service work. It makes me feel like I'm making a difference. During high school, I have volunteered doing: Vince's Mixed Martial Arts Instructor (Over 500 Hrs), Vince's MMA Demo Team Assistant Manager (20Hrs), Bristol Glen Volunteer Task Force (35 hrs), Joey Lavin Foundation 5K Director of Registration (30 hrs), Tutor (10 Hrs), Just for Fun Soccer League Coach for children with special needs (26 Hrs), St. Jude’s Church Children’s Liturgy Teacher (25 Hrs),

Other work in St. Jude’s Church (76Hrs), Box City Homelessness awareness work (14Hrs), Habitat for Humanity Re-store (20Hrs), Lafayette PTO – Trick or Trunk (4Hrs). I plan to spend my future working for the betterment of the community. I feel a successful life is a life that provokes happiness.

 Academics

I am in the top 10% of my graduating class, participating in a duel enrollment program with the community college. I push myself as best as I can. I am currently taking four AP classes with a focus on math and science. My favorite courses are AP Calculus and AP Physics. I will push my-self through college, just as I have pushed myself this far. I want to go into engineering or physics. As a woman, I feel I have to prove myself even more, academically than men. Not only am I studious with my academic classes, but I am also studious with my martial arts. Through my dedication and hard-work, the same dedication and hard-work that helps me excel in school, I was able to get a blackbelt in Tang Soo Do.

  Faith
I was born and raised in a Catholic family. At only 16 years old, I was a confirmation candidates sponsor, guiding them in their religion, being a religiously active role model. A lot of my charity work is through the church, such as teaching the Children's Liturgy, helping with dinners, events, fundraising, organizing, food pantries, and helping single mothers. I feel that my religion provided me with a strongly instilled sense of morals. If one is confident in his morals, one will be confident in himself. Though my personal views are not exactly what the Catholic church preaches, I feel that people need to have their own thoughts and not think exactly what they are told to think. I have developed my faith off of my life experiences, personal opinions, and traditional Catholic views."
