Alison Fox - I am the most optimistic, bubbly, outgoing, and social person you will ever meet. I am blessed to have the ability to walk into any room and not be afraid of the faces staring back at me. Public speaking and meeting new people are two of my all time favorite activities...If meeting people was a job I would never quit! I find it a privilege and an honor to have met everyone in my life. I truly value every encounter I have had because every person has left a peice of their uniqueness in my heart and therefore has helped transform me into the person I am. As I look to the future, I hope my encounters continue to motivate me and challenge my ideas, my strengths, my weaknesses, my beliefs, and my general way of life, so I can continue to grow as a person.

Evan Liu - As a child I hated the very idea of swimming; the fear of drowning is a common cause for such discourse towards it. Later on in life, I took swimming lessons and became a recreational swimmer. Though learning how to swim was a great achievement for me.

Yi Wan Wu - My name is Yi Wan Wu. I am a freshman in Stony Brook University. I am a Health Science major and a pre-Med student. I like to smile; therefore, I smile constantly. I am an optimistic girl and I do not like to give up.

Nicole Garcia - My name is Nicole, i'm 18 years old and i'm from Ridgewood, Queens. One fun fact - Stony Brook University was my first choice school :) so when I recieved that acceptance letter I couldn't help but shed tears of happiness!. I'm a Health Science major on the pre-med track in hopes of becoming a registered nurse after college. I have one brother named Michael, he's a year older than me however he has the mentality of a six year old. I'm not saying this to be funny or belittle him because he's my brother and that's the usual relationship between siblings, but he has autism, tourettes syndrome, epilepsy and ADHD. Having more than one disabiliy, he requires extra attention which I don't mind giving, infact because I always had to help my mom take care of him, i've grown a love for helping people. That's why I want a career where I can possibly change people's lives, or make strangers smile everyday, that to me would be more rewarding then a fat paycheck. Aside from my love of helping people, I love cats!, I have two. I also love acting silly with my friends because people everywhere no matter what are always judging you, so might as well give them something interesting to talk about, right?

Peter Broski -  I'm majoring in Biochemistry and I plan on pursuing a medical career in the future. I love to longboard, chill on the beach, listen to all types of music but I prefer ska and alternative, and just spend time with my friends and girlfriend.

Anthony Lopez - I attend Stony Brook University. I chose Stony Brook because of its great reputation and the fact that is has a great Computer Science department. Stony Brook is a place where I can learn a lot and constantly be challenged.

Dren Kullashi - This project was a great one, as it allowed me to reflect on my first month at Stony Brook University and what I have learned. This was much needed, because I learned a lot in the first couple of weeks. The skills that I learned during the production of this project were numerous. However, the skill that I feel was most important is how one creates their power point movies. I had difficulty with this but I eventually overcame them after doing some research.

LDR 210/310 - Jonathan Ragone and Melissa Mastrogiovanni, Faculty

Joshua Mason-  My leadership experiences started when I joined my first team sport as a young boy. I have been playing team sports, which include soccer, football, and baseball, since the age of 4. Throughout my years of playing on different sport teams, I have developed leadership qualities and have learned many ways to lead my fellow peers to success. I have encountered many valuable experiences, which have ultimately helped me achieve the exemplary leadership qualities that I have today.

Neal Thomas - Neal Thomas is a graduate of Nanuet Senior Highschool. Currently a premedical student at Stony Brook University, he is pursuing a major in biochemistry, in addition to a minor in leadership.

Aileen Orpilla -  This eportfolio contains a valuable amount of information that was learned throughout this semester about both myself and the ways I can improve to lead other people.   In life beyond college, I plan to use this as a reference on my progression and development as a leader.

Vladimir Nesly Piersaint - It wasn't until my sophomore year in high school, when I started to plant my seeds of leadership.  In high school I was part of student council, jazz band and became an assistant director of a Christian organization know as Pathfinders.  I came into Stony Brook with hopes of building my leadership skills while obraining a Bachelor of Science dregree in Psychology.

Courtney Shevlin - I plan on using my e-portfolio in the rest of my academic career. This is almost like an “advanced resume.” It’s a port key to my thoughts and beliefs and they way I want to lead because each are explained to the reader. Also, all of my leadership roles are on here and professors, an admissions board and club advisors are able to what I have done in more detail. This document can help me get into grad school and further my education because it helps me stand out in the crowd. It shows I care about my values and stand by them through the leadership roles I take one. Although I’m not a business major and will not run a company one day, I am a nursing major and may run a hospital floor, or be the head nurse. My future bosses will want to know how I have developed my leadership skills and how I plan to keep learning. 

Farihah Naz Sattar -  I decided on this minor as a Freshman. I had been placed in the College of Leadership and Service, and that made me feel like Leadership was my calling. They wouldn't have put me in the College of Leadership and Service if they hadn't seen the traits of a Leader in me, right? Ever since then, I have been extremely active on campus: applying to be an RA, participating in clubs and organizations, being an active member of the campus community, organizing events, taking charge and trying to make a difference. Sometimes I feel like I take too much onto my plate. And I have been told so on multiple occasions. But there's always so much I want to do and take part in and so little time!

Daniel Cassano - My definition of “Leadership” means that in order to be successful and reach your goals, everyone must be willing to buy into the same idea. As an individual, playing on a team or working for a company, it is paramount that everyone involved be pulling in the same direction. No one ever achieves anything without hard work and extra effort and most importantly without believing in their contribution to the overall goal.

Kenneth Fiero - To reach both my long-term and short-term goals, right now I am going to work hard in school, get good grades, and stay on track with my classes. Starting in spring break, I will search and apply to get a new, hopefully better job and/or possibly an internship over the summer. Long-term, I want to get a good job out of college, and eventually use the skills and knowledge I will learn in other businesses to own one of my own, and also during all of this have a family and always make sure I am doing what I want, that I am happy with what I am doing and that I am happy overall.

Dillon Winegar - I am a sophomore at Stony Brook University. I am a Business major, planning on specializing in Marketing, and minoring in Digital Arts.  I have been involved in many things on campus, including the Undergraduate College Fellows Program, the LDS Council, where I serve as president, and Stony Brook Crew Team, where I was recently voted to serve as co-captain of the men’s team.
