Working with Americorps has been an very eye opening and influence experience. My internship at the Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk Inc. SNAP Division has allowed me to gain a lot of useful skills and knowledge that will help me as I move forward and continue in my career as a Social Worker.  I have grown close to the students in my program and know that I have made an impact on their lives as I have been watching them change and grow. They have also made a large impact on me in that it has reaffirmed that fact that I want to work with youth and families in my future social work profession. I look forward to continuing my work with my students and working with Americorps.
